Is Adam Lambert going to take the "American Idol" title?

Adam is clearly in a different league from any other male
that has appeared on American Idol.
He has an incredible unique voice, a dazzling stage
presence and a sensuality that gives
the fever to females from 6 to 65.

According to the New York Post, betting sites -- yes, people bet on "American Idol" -- have favored Lambert to win the competition every week but one: country week. During country week, Adam's riveting yet perplexing performance of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" knocked him into the second spot on odds-makers' lists, while Danny Gokey's explosive gospel rendition of Carrie Underwood's "Jesus Take the Wheel" put him in the top spot for the week.

But Lambert soon regained his lead, and now, a $1 bet on the black-nailed chameleon returns just 80 cents. Gokey is nipping at the pale rocker's gothic heels, with 23-year old romantic Kris Allen next in line. As Simon Cowell told Jay Leno, a boy is sure to win this season.

Still, with weeks left in the competition, one of the remaining ladies -- Allison Iraheta or Lil Rounds -- could still surprise us. After all, at this point in the competition last season, David Archuleta was still favored to win it all.
